Pascal Vinarnic

Founder, Fondation Demeter

Pascal founded Fondation Demeter in 1994 to promote innovative economic tools for social good.  For over a decade Demeter supported microfinance organizations in India, Africa and Latin America as a way to promote women as economic agents of change in their communities.  Subsequently the foundation focused on on entrepreneurship as a tool to integrate at-risk youth from vulnerable communities ranging from working with ex-convicts to those in underprivileged neighbourhoods to handicapped individuals.  More recently, Demeter has supported « Charitable Pledges » which aim to assist multiple stakeholders in social causes to better align their mission.

In parallel to his philanthropic activities, in 1992 Pascal founded Ceres Finance, a London-based investment fund focused on Distressed Technology Assets, where he serves as managing partner.  His entire career has been in the field of Private Equity, initially with Bain & Co and then Bain Capital.
