Nicolas Hazard

Founder, INCO

Nicolas Hazard is a French entrepreneur. He created and manages INCO, a global organization on a mission to build a new economy that is environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. In order to support innovative companies shaping this economy of tomorrow, INCO Ventures manages and advises over 500M€ across several impact investing funds, INCO Incubators empowers over 700 startups each year, and INCO&Co provides expert consulting services. And through INCO Academy (485k lives positively impacted), INCO provides training and support to adult learners across the world seeking careers that stem from this new economy.

Nicolas is a graduate of HEC and Sciences Po Paris. Founder of the Impact² event, he is the winner of the Montgolfier Prize (Committee for Economic Arts) and was elected “Young Global Leader” in 2015 by the World Economic Forum. He was also elected “Young Global Leader” by the French American Foundation in 2016 and by the Franco British Foundation in 2017. He authored several books and publications about the new economy, published, among others, in The Guardian, Le Monde and the Stanford Innovation Review.

In 2020 he was appointed Special Advisor in charge of Social and Solidarity Economy to the European Commission.
