Head of Patient-Focused Partnerships, Medicines Discovery Catapult

Jess is the Head of Patient-Focused Partnerships at Medicines Discovery Catapult (MDC); a UK not-for-profit organisation with a mission to reshape medicines discovery. Before joining MDC, Jess worked in scientific roles across industry, academia and charity, where she developed expertise in bringing together cross-sector consortia and involving patients to drive impactful R&D. Upon joining MDC in 2018, Jess played a leading role in developing the Syndicate programme; a new model to drive collaborative patient-focused drug discovery. Jess set up the first two Syndicates, which are focused on addressing cystic fibrosis Infections (the CF AMR Syndicate) and hearing loss and tinnitus (Hearing Medicines Discovery Syndicate). She is now responsible for driving the strategic and operational delivery of the programme and leads MDC’s role in its exciting new collaboration with We Share.
