Etienne Cuche

Etienne Cuche has been working on European Union law and policies for around 15 years, combining various positions within EU institutions and EU interests groups in Brussels. Etienne currently works at the European Commission, DG NEAR (Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations), in the Center of Thematic Expertise on civil Society, developing policies and approaches, guiding the design and implementation of support mechanisms related to civil society support for all Neighborhood and pre-Accession countries, with a focus on the Neighborhood East.

Prior to the European Commission, Etienne worked for a CSO Network in the field of social inclusion, carrying out EU policy analysis, advocacy, project management and organizational development, as well as for the European Parliament, where he was advising MEPs in their legislative work and relations with CSOs and citizens.

Etienne holds a Master in European law and policies from the University of Strasbourg and a Diploma in political science from the Grande école Sciences Po Lille.
