Many start-ups have sustainable or social plans that can radically change the world for the better. At the same time a host of mission-driven wealth holders are interested to help these social entrepreneurs take the necessary steps through impact investing. As a team manager at the Dutch social investment company DOEN Participaties, Daan has built an industry-leading portfolio of 80 (inter)national impact investments that seek to generate strong social value coupled with financial returns. Both in individual companies and investment funds. Daan has been responsible for dozens of social investments in Europe, Africa and Asia in renewable energy, good food, microfinance and the circular economy. Coming from a background in the reinsurance industry he now puts his experience to good use for a wide variety of wealth holders and courageous entrepreneurs as director of Fair Capital Partners.
